| The DF class were built by GM in Canada and introduced from 1979. In 1990's were upgraded with turbo etc to GT22 MC. 129 was just over 1300 t the maximum load for the 220 Km long line. That might change considerably with our new coalition government planning to spend around $500M on upgrading the line to serve the new port at Whangarei. |
