Chicago, Fort Wayne and Indiana eastbound freight has just crossed the Elkhart and Western as they pass this ex-Pennsy Depot at Plymouth. The train came out of Blue Island Yard in Chicago. Some of the Pennsy heritage can also be found with some of the diamond signals along this route. The Chicago, Fort Wayne and Eastern Railroad (reporting mark CFE) is a short line railroad offering service from Tolleston, Indiana to Crestline, Ohio, over the former Fort Wayne Line of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
