| Just north of East Belle Ayr Jct. on the BNSF Orin Sub. in eastern Wyoming is Whitetail Hill. It is steep enough to require loaded trains to get an assist from the Belle Ayr helpers which are seen here about to couple up to a northbound (timetable westbound) loaded coal train. Whitetail Hill is not long and these helpers either cut off at the top of the hill or sometimes continue on north to Donkey Creek Jct. and cut off there. The Belle Ayr mine is about a mile and a half west over the top of the hill seen here. |
