Remarks & Notes
Rio Grande eastbound California Zephyr behind PA1 6001, PB-1 6002 and PA-1 6003 near Glenwood Springs, Colorado on July 18, 1951. Rio Grande PA's carried this silver and orange paint from late 1949 until 1952;during those three years, all three operators of the California Zephyr (CB&Q-D&RGW-WP) had silver engines available for their premier passenger train. Photo from my slide collection, no photographer listed on slide.
