Top Ten of 2017. With 2017 in the books, here's a look back at my Top 10 favorite shots from the past year. 3. The longest trip of the year was a week-long February vacation to take part in a Lerro Productions charter on the Grand Canyon Railway. Instead of flying back, we decided to take the long way home following railroads through the South. Saturday, February 11th found us in northern Louisiana, in search of an eastbound Kansas City Southern train to follow toward home. Once we found this EB intermodal, led by KCS ES44ACs 4795 and 4687, we headed toward one of the main shots we wanted that day, this view of the train crossing the 1930-built Mississippi River bridge taken from the welcome center in Vicksburg, MS.
