Remarks & Notes |
Lined For the Table. CDTX 2052's final hour at the Redondo Junction turntable has come to a close as the venerable 1927-built, original Santa Fe structure is lined for the Amtrak California motor to come onto before joining sister 2051 for the trip home to Oakland the following day. The two Dash-8's have served Southern California for more than a week on expanded Pacific Surfliner trains during the closure of US 101 in Montecino following the deadly mudslides there.
As the 2052's bottom ditch lights illuminate the table, they also shed light on the AMTK 795, ironically parked next to the more environmentally-friendly unit that pushed it out of service. |
