Remarks & Notes
This 160 years old 0-4-6 steamlocomotive Ec 2/5 # 28 "GENF" is the oldest operational in Switzerland, but exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne in the moment. It was built in 1858 by Maschinenfabrik Emil Kessler at Esslingen/Germany for the Hauenstein line of the Schweizerische Centralbahn (SCB), according to the principles of engineer Wilhelm Engerth. It has 400 HP and can run up to 55 km/h. As you can see, there aren't buffers, regular coupling, no cab and no air brake. The iconic locomotive gets water beside the shed at Brugg (AG) by the experienced Landenberger brothers.
