E-3209 electric locomotive of Italian origin, built in 1960, returning to activity in 2014 after many years by mechanical problems. Built especially for the railroads of Chile by the Italian consortium "Breda Marelli" (Gruppo Aziende Italiane) in Milan - Italy. They were 34 locomotives in operation in the early 1960s for State Railroads "FFCC del E". Wonderful machines of 3600 HP. He became known both in Chile and abroad as the "Sophia Loren", for its beautiful curves and Italian origin. Currently there are only three locomotives operational and still survive the lack of spare parts: Two operated by FEPASA for freight - cargo transport (E-3208 and E-3227), and this locomotive (E-3209) of photography, the only under operational conditions has state rail company ("EFE" - Empresa de Ferrocarriles del Estado) and used for special services.
