Diesel-electric locomotive 2M62U-0168 (max power - 4000 hp, max speed - 100 km / h) drives passenger train №425 from Chelyabinsk to Kaliningrad. This train passes the ancient Russian city of Kozelsk founded in 1146 (a year older than Moscow). In 1238 Kozel'sk received the nickname "Angry City" because for seven weeks the Mongol-Tatar troops could not take it by assault.
*M62* series were manufactured by Voroshilovogradsky named the October Revolution plant (later - "Luganskteplovoz") in Lugansk (USSR, Ukraine and Lugansk People Republic now). |
