Remarks & Notes |
One of the many United States Army Transportation Corps 2-8-0s that were sold to Poland after World War II, PKP No Tr203 491 stands on the turntable at Poznan freight loco depot. These engines were built to the British loading gauge and many worked in the UK before being shipped to Europe after D-Day. This engine still carries a rather bent British lamp iron in the centre of its buffer beam and on the lifting bracket at the top of its smoke box front. |
