Remarks & Notes
Climax No.1694 takes water at Cockatoo, with a photographers' special chartered by Sierra Publishing. 1694 was built in Pennsylvania in 1928, being delivered to Victoria in kit form and assembled at Newport workshops in five days. It then spent it's working life on the Tyers Valley Tramway in Victoria's Gippsland District until the line closed in 1949.
