| A2 986 steams down the main street of Wycheproof, becoming the last Broad Gauge (5'3") steam locomotive to visit this location. In coming months the line will be converted to Standard Gauge as part of the Murray Basin Rail Project. The headboard on 986's smoke box reads: "Steamrail Victoria - Saturday 7th October 2017 - Farewell Broadway Broad Gauge - Last Broad Gauge Steam to Wycheproof - 1883-2017." Diesels N472 and T356 were on the rear of the train. |
