Slugging on a road train. We were riding down I-10 westbound near Whitehouse west of Jacksonville, Florida, when I saw racks slowly moving westbound on the SP-Line. We hopped off at the next exit, and pulled up to the Chafee Road crossing just as the gates were going down. To my total surprise and delight it was a GP30 Slug leading a Geep. The two engines were in notch 8 (I know the slug is technically just a carbody), and doing about 25mph as they hauled a nearly 8,000 foot long A725 west towards Baldwin, Florida. Due to the non-impressive scenery, and lack of a wide-angle composition I went for the telephoto here. It resulted in a nice smash of a GP30 leading a road train down the SP-Line into great afternoon light.
