| The Solotchinskoye peat narrow-gauge railway is located in Priozerny, Ryazan region. It was a part of the wide network of the Ryazan - Vladimir narrow-gauge railway, which was passing through forests of the National Park «Meshchera» and having a length 211 km in its best years. In 90th- early 2000th most of the network was dismantled. The part in Priozerny was rebuilt in 2010 to bring peat from a pit to the Peat Briquette Factory in the Priozerny village. Despite the major amount of peat in this area is carried by cars, the construction of the factory allows loading only from trains. |
