After more than a year of test runs, Brisbane's 'New Generation Rollingstock' (NGR) fleet was still yet to enter service when I took this photo. Built by Bombardier in India, QR identified numerous design issues once testing began in Australia. Set 705 is seen here bypassing Roma Street station and heading onto the Exhibition loop line. A month later the first sets did enter service, however they are still facing legal issues relating to poorly designed wheelchair-accessible toilets.
