0730 Mulberry, Florida. On his return run to Prairie Yard is Bone Valley local O730-15. He is passing one of the last US&S Y Pattern Color Light signals left anywhere. This is the line of Atlantic Coast Line heritage. Mullberry is an integral junction in the Bone Valley. Prairie Yard sits on the ex-ACL Bone Valley sub, and the Valrico Sub of ex-Seaboard Coast Line heritage crosses at grade in the middle of four lane State Road 37. I caught the southbound run early in the morning with the AC4400 leading, and on the way home late in the evening with one of my favorite engines leading. Say what you want about the SD40-3's, but they will be around after the 40-2's have disappeared from the mainline.
