| Nearing the end. Serving out their final months in Southern California before being sold to Metra in Chicago after 20 years running the Surfline, F59PHIs 464 and 459 lead southbound Pacific Surfliner train 566 through Oceanside. The entire Surfliner F59PHI fleet will likely be gone by summer 2018, replaced by Siemens Charger locomotives. The F59 fleet serving on the Cascades route in the Pacific Northwest is also being sold to Metra. |
