"Alco Power Pack Ready for Scrap"
Long Island Rail Road's rebuilt Alco Power Pack, LI 3100, sits on the River Track at Wheelspur Facility in Long Island City awaiting the scrapper's torch. LI 3100 was an Alco FA2 originally built for the Western Maryland, led trains under the Long Island Rail Road and later was converted to a cabless HEP generator. The Power Pack wears the Western Maryland scheme one last time thanks to some thoughtful graffiti artists.
