Remarks & Notes |
1275 was built by North British, Glasgow and was in service from 1952 to 1967. After restoration 1275 returned to main line in 2004. The train consisting of rolling stock based at Glenbrook Vintage Railway participated in fundraising trips from Whangarei to Portland and Kauri. This last train of the day was a special VIP train as part of rally supporting the upgrading of the line and a connection to the new port at Marsden Point. Passenger trains have not been allowed on this section to Kauri for nearly 20 years and a 25 Km/h speed limit applied. |
