A Indiana Harbor Belt transfer to the Iowa Interstate was preparing to depart. The third unit, dead in tow, is the ATSF 92. Here the unit was being sent by the Illinois Railway Museum to NRE in Silvis for replacement of it's prime mover.
Freight Cowls are standard locomotives that have a hood that extends the full width of the locomotive. Sadly, most Freight Cowls have been retired, but a few still run on short lines.
