“No Surrender” Flying the white flags of an extra, The West Virginian, an excursion sponsored by the Baltimore Chapter/NRHS, along with Railtours of America and the B&O Railroad, conducts a photo runby along the Old Main Line west of Monrovia (mp 46.2) on September 25, 1983.
The trip, powered by SBD FP7(A) 116 (ex-CRR 800) and SBD FP7(A) 118 (ex-CRR 200), originated at Baltimore’s Camden Station, and travelled B&O’s Old Main Line, Metropolitan and Cumberland Subdivisions to Harpers Ferry, where passengers could detrain for a 3 hour layover, or continue on to Martinsburg, WV for a 2 hour layover, while the train was serviced.
