On April 22, Central Maine & Quebec and Vermont Rail System teamed up to re-introduce direct Farnham, Quebec to White River Jct., VT service. Billed as a timing test train, the crew would be CMQ supplied with a Vermont Rail System pilot from Newport, VT to White River Jct. The train was affectionately called the 904, the old Canadian Pacific symbol carried by their train on the southbound leg into the early 1990s on this sane piece of railroad. Led by CMQ GP38-3 3817 and Clarendon & Pittsford GP40-2 306, the train passes the New England Central motive power as it arrives in White River Jct., VT.
