The Big Six
The sun peak out for just a brief moment on this cold morning as CSX Q676-27 (Nashville,TN-Hamlet,NC) depart Wauhatchie taking the main 1 track south on the CSX Western & Atlantic Sub (WA) to Atlanta, GA on the train second segment of it's trip. Motor lead motors which is consist of an AC6000 which is de-rated as a CW46AH, and a C40-8 is now a rare site to see on CSX these days. With another surprise decision coming out of Jacksonville a large piece of the AC6000 (CW46AH) included CSX 680 were to be retired, and sold off to Progress Rail. Only CSX 600-602 are currently still on the active CSX locomotive roster and reclassed as CW44ACs due to the complete engine change.
