Norfolk Southern pusher J74 (an SD70Ace trio) is about to couple up to the caboose on the end of loaded mine run U47 in downtown Appalachia, VA. The pusher will remove the caboose from the train and place it on a siding. Once the caboose is removed, J74 will couple to the end of the loaded coal train, and U47 and J74 will use two legs of the wye in Appalachia to get the train rotated in the opposite direction and head toward Norton, VA. The coal train was loaded at Wentz, VA, and the caboose was used as a shoving platform for a reverse move to the coal loader at Wentz.
