The golden light of dawn paints the scenery west of Rocky, Colorado, at 6:41 a.m. on the morning of July 26, 2014, as a Union Pacific inspection train arcs onto the mesa containing Big 10 Curve. The three-car train includes power car UPP 207, sleeper “Portola” UPP 1610 and theater car “Fox River” UPP 420. Storms are moving in early this morning and the golden sunlight will be history by the time the train reaches the west end of Eisele siding, seen on the hillside above.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
