In 2018, the Blonay-Chamby Railroad/Museum is celebrating 50 years of operation. On this day, for photographers and filmers there was organized a "Mega Steam Festival" with 10 one meter gauge steamlocomotives. This is the little G 2/2 "Ticino", built in 1889 by Arnold Jung, Jungenthal bei Kirchheim/Germany, which was used for construction work for the Ticino river correction (Consorzio Correzione del Fiume Ticino), survived for 53 years in a basement of the Travaini family in Mendrisio and was made operational again in 2016 by experienced steam specialist Martin Horath (who is in the cab) in a few months. The locomotive is owned by Travaini family, loaned for operation to Martin Horath, Goldau.
