At dawn on a winter morning, my camera catches the spark from an electrical third rail shoe, marking the passage of an early morning A train running from Far Rockaway to Manhattan, as it crosses the Broad Channel and heads to its next stop at Howard Beach-JFK Airport. Above the train, the two specks in the sky are incoming aircraft on final approach to JFK Airport.
