Remarks & Notes
An engineer enjoys some sunshine, coffee and a short break in in the cab of Burlington Northern Santa Fe manifest C44-9W No. 1005 on a BNSF freight switching cars at the west end of Clay siding on the morning of July 5, 2003. It is unusual to have trains switching at this location, but this train’s consist wasn’t correct out of the yard in Denver probably due to this train being involved in minor derailment the previous evening, so cars were switched around near the head end most likely because of cars of hazardous materials being too close to the locomotives.
