| The collapse of Tunnel 11 on Union Pacific’s Cascade line in Oregon has resulted in some detours through Utah. I set out to find and shoot some of these detours far from their usual haunts. My first stop was at Lakeside, Utah. This location has a great view east out over the Great Salt Lake and the Rambo Fill clear over to Promontory Point. I spent several hours out there and saw only one train; luckily it was one of the detours. This image is of the MHKRV-06 just getting its feet dry on land at Lakeside. |
