Pantograph test run on the Thurtal main line with 8 of the new maintenance vehicles (Erhaltungsfahrzeuge EHFZ) Xem 181 for the SBB, running along the pond at Riedt near Erlen. The overhead wire system on this line dates from about 1928. All pantographs are lifted. The # of the vehicles were # 010, 008, 001, 011, 004, 007, 002 and 013. The SBB ordered 13 of this multi purpose vehicles for the maintenance of the Gotthard and Ceneri Base tunnels.
