The Rohr RTLIII Turboliners were upgraded by Super Steel in Schenectady, NY in the early 2000s. Only three sets were completed, and I believe two saw limited service before the program was cancelled. The other sets in various stages of overhaul ended up being auctioned and scrapped in 2013. Dale Johnson, a freelance photographer for Amtrak in the 70s, wrote the book "Trail of the Turbo," which outlines the history of all versions of the Turboliner. It can be found on Amazon.
