The Cheakamus River rages downwards as CN 571 puts on a show grinding up through the canyon.

Due to heat kinking on one of the rails being handled on this day, a slide fence was taken out further up the line and this crew's day was cut short.
They had to take the siding past Whistler and soon after went off duty. Ten hours later, after the dragging rail had been taken care of, a relief crew went out and finally got 571 back underway.
