A number of intense thunderstorms were scattered throughout the state of New Jersey the day of this photo because of the extremely warm temperatures. I dodged a bullet with this one, as the storm went right around me. Though it would’ve been a treat to end the day with a nice thunderstorm, the path of the storm allowed me to grab this pretty epic shot. The tail of the storm is seen over the waters of the Raritan River as an eastbound train to New York crosses the massive viaduct between Highland Park and New Brunswick, NJ.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
