A trio of "upgraded" GP30s leads Santa Fe's Pittsburg Local at Christie, CA. The railroad kept its GP30s in great condition, rebuilding them and keeping them up to and beyond the merger with BN. They would show up on locals and switching jobs, but also found assignments on road freights.
