E44 No. 4434 (GE, 3-62) is operating in the very long hood forward mode with a sister, southbound with a Truc-Train in the late winter of 1976-77. You can bet that the 4434's six 733 hp traction motors were screaming as it passed by the old pedestrian underpass on the left, as freight train speeds on the old NEC were in the mile-a-minute range.
