As part of a two million dollar project to create a new station for the majority of the railroad's excursions out of Reading, south of the railroad's headquarters in Port Clinton, PA, the R&N acquired a 2-1/2 acre site near Reading's city limits in in Muhlenberg Township. A PRR style tower was built in 2017 and will serve as the origin for the majority of the railroad's excursions. There is a spur off the main out of view behind the photographer where two of the railroad's RDC's are staged, along with a water tower with a static display featuring former CP No. 1098, now painted blue and numbered No. 225.
