Remarks & Notes
A night portrait of Deutsche Reichsbahn's 2-10-0 Decapod steam locomotive on the turntable at the loco shed "Bw Halle P". 52 #9900-3 is the only preserved locomotive out of a series of 25 Class 52 locomotives which were converted to brown coal firing (system Wendler) at RAW Stendal. It was originally built by Orenstein & Koppel in 1943. Chief locomotive engineer Axel Fraedrich can be seen in the cab.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
