Remarks & Notes
Introduced in Milan in 1928 , the trams of the 1500 series were manufactured in Italy under license of the company Peter Witt. They are between the oldest trams in the world that are maintained in regular service. Of the 500 trams that initially formed the series, 200 are still operating daily. The one in the photo, with an advertiser's vinyl, was doing service on Line 10 between Piazza XXIV Maggio and Viale Lunigiana. Between the variety of series and the different decorations of advertisers, it is sometimes difficult to see two trams alike at the same time.
