Arnolds Loop in Nevada; a lower view. Most photos taken in the area of Arnolds Loop, including mine, are taken from above the tracks. This allows a view of the loop itself and out across the broad expanse of the nearly uninhabited Pilot Valley. The above view, however, is taken from an elevation between track levels just railroad east of the loop proper. The train is the MRORV, a daily manifest from Roper Yard in Salt Lake City to Roseville, California. The power on the upper level is headed right to left and the hoppers on the lower level are headed left to right. The reversing loop proper is just out of sight to the right.
