A Copenhagen area commuter train arrives at Osterport, from which the Little Mermaid (Den lille Havfrue, based on the fairy tale of that name by Hans Christian Andersen), at the harbor pondering life, is a short walk.
The station dates back to 1897 and was restored in the 1980s. It serves not only local commuter trains including the S-trains (S-tog) but also Eurostar trains, including to international destinations, and will serve Copenhagen Metro trains in the future.
The SA 8109 is one of the oldest units in its class as the class numbering begins at 8101. More information on the DSB S-tog class SA equipment can be found here.
