A few Tier 4 EMDs made their way onto the Union Pacific's Chester Subdivision on August 11, 2018. Following a slew of northbounds, UP 3000 continues the trend and wastes no time rounding the curve just south of Randles, hustling its 125 car train north. After a very hectic morning at Dexter, MO, I continued my journey north, and as I did, the traffic ever so slightly slowed down. I'm sure the dispatcher, who sounds very frustrated from time to time, was relieved to catch a break this afternoon. Nevertheless, 30 trains from dawn to dusk is far from a slow piece of track and is one of the many reasons I keep coming back to this busy line.
