Remarks & Notes
A Utah Railway coal train curls out of the Gooseneck curve on one of the toughest portions of the 2.4% grade of Price River Canyon. The eclectic group of power on the head-end consists of three 3500 hp re powered MK5000Cs and 2 ex Australian SD50S locomotives for a grand total of 17500 horsepower. Cut into the train 2/3 back is a manned helper with another 24,000 horsepower! The Utah Railway was my favorite "shoreline" in the WEST!
