On a remarkably clear late-spring day in 2018, an eastbound intermodal crosses the soon-to-be-doubletracked bridge across Lake Pend Oreille into Sandpoint, Idaho with 3 GEs, each displaying one of BNSF's three primary paint schemes since 1995. The western fringes of the Bitterroot Mountains can be seen in the background of the photo, taken from the causeway of US 95 across the lake. This is railroading in the Idaho panhandle.
