A couple of railfan photographers prep for chance to capture SEPTA's lone ALP-44, No. 2308 as it departs Woodbourne station. The train is bound for Yardley, PA, and eventually, West Trenton, NJ. New Jersey Transit once had a fleet of 32 ALP-44's delivered between 1989 and 1996 but they were all retired by 2012 and placed in storage. This sole remaining ALP-44 was offered to SEPTA as part of a damage settlement for a lawsuit stemming from the late delivery of N5 cars for the Norristown High Speed Line. It will be likely be retired by the end of this month, or possibly mid-September of 2018 along with two remaining AEM-7's.
