Remarks & Notes |
The two railcars ABe 4/4 # 51 "Poschiavo" and # 53 "Tirano" in multiple traction are pulling the BERNINA EXPRESS 976 from Tirano to St.Moritz over the Brusio spiral viaduct. The train consists of 4 second class and 2 first class panorama cars. The 142 meter long viaduct with a radius of 70 meters and in a grade of 7.0 % was built between 1907 and 1908 for the then independent Bernina Railway, and is now part of the UNESCO world heritage site Albula-Bernina. The view is from San Romerio, about 1000 meter higher and 3,5 kilometer away. |
