Remarks & Notes |
Conway Scenic 252 proudly stands next to the famous ball signal where the Maine Central RR and Boston & Maine RR once intersected. 252 is a GP38 built for the Maine Central RR in 1966. Even though the train is on the former Boston & Maine trackage, it is an honor to have this workhorse in a place where it once roamed the rails in it's heyday, not to mention in a MEC-inspired paint scheme. Conway Scenic Railroad ran this special charter out of North Conway to Whitefield as a part of Railfan Weekend 2018. Conway Scenic claims this may be the last time they run to the diamond in order to focus on other projects. |
