Remarks & Notes |
Early in the 2000's the black IC power still roam Iowa pretty hot and heavy, especially west of Waterloo. The unwritten rule was to keep the newer bigger CN type power between Chicago and Waterloo. That meant the lonely SD40's did alot of the work west of Waterloo. Funny how that rule comes and goes now days as the CN wanted the newer ES44AC's kept Waterloo east when came out newer. Now days it whatever is need to move what. Back in 2003 the local to Fort Dodge makes the afternoon trek, seen here between Ackley and Iowa Falls. The leader 6065 is the ex-GMO 916 and was retied in 2009 on the CN roster.
