| The Labor Day Weekend at the Illinois Railway Museum featured a night session after the normal closing hours. The Frisco 1630 and the CB&Q 9911A were the main attractions after dark. The train is parked here waiting for another departure from the East Union Station.
Mother Nature was anything but friendly this weekend, and hats off to this groups for staying the course and making the evening a go. Heavy rains this entire Labor Day Weekend made it hard for the Museum to run trains due to high water. I had my doubts in the morning, but as the water went down, the group got the trains out and played. More storms were rolling in as the even was coming to an end. Next day I am not sure if anything ran due to continued rain? |
