Old to new; Three generations of General Electric wide cab products glide downgrade past Kansas City's Union Station with train 112 on main 2 of KCT's East-West Corridor with Knoxville, TN tonnage for BNSF's Argentine Yard. The leader, and also the oldest of the trio, is an ex-Conrail Dash 8 built in August of 1993. After delivering their train off to the BNSF, these engines will eventually run light power back through the city to home rails on the NS at Avondale Yard. The iconic 12-story Western Auto Building featured in the background was built in 1914 originally for the Coca-Cola Company and later becoming headquarters for Western Auto Supply whose sign still sits pretty atop the structure. The building is now a part of the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a loft/condominium.
