Cresting the summit of Kicking Horse Pass at Divide, Alberta, is the westbound Royal Canadian Pacific passenger train on September 20, 2002, pulled by FP7 No. 1400, FP9 No. 1401 and GP38-2 No. 3084. GP38-2 3084 built in 1986 was originally painted in CP Rail “action orange” colors but was repainted tuscan and gray in March 2000 to help out with passenger duties when needed. Even though it is about to turn to autumn, light rain mixed with a bit of early season snow is falling, barely visible in the exhaust.
